# Exams

There will be two exams, each covering half of the material of the course. They will be like the quizzes, but longer and with new problems (not problems from the homework).

The first exam is on February 8 Tuesday, to prepare for the midterm grades that come out later that week.

• Date taken: February 8 Tuesday.
• Lectures covered: January 11 through February 3.
• Sections of the textbook: 2.2&2.3, 3.1–3.6, 4.1, 6.1&6.2.
• Calculators, notes, textbook: OK.

• From the Chapter 3 Review (pages 271–274): 3–22, 25–36, 41–72, 74.a&c, 76.a;

• Practice exam (longer than the real exam):
• From the Chapter 2 Test (page 204): 3–7, 10;
• From the Chapter 3 Test (pages 274&275): 1.c&d, 2–5, 7, 8, 9.a&b, 10, 12;
• From the Chapter 4 Test (pages 320&321): 1, 9;
• From the Chapter 6 Test (pages 500&501): 1–4.

The other exam is on March 15 Tuesday, so that I can give you feedback on the last day of class.

If you will miss an exam, then tell me as soon as you know.
