Welcome to the home page for Sections ES34 and ES36 of MATH-1150 (College Algebra) at Southeast Community College in the Spring term of 2015. I am Toby Bartels, the instructor.

Assignments

If you miss a homework assignment, then you can find it here. Eventually some solutions to graded homework may show up here too.

Attendance (taken every day);
Homework (due nearly every day);
Final exam (June 9 Tuesday).

Although only homework and the final exam contribute directly to your grade, attendance is also important.

Resources

The official textbook for the course is the 9th Edition of Algebra & Trigonometry by Sullivan published by Prentice-Hall (Pearson). You should be able to get this at the bookstore, and most homework problems will come from it. (This same book is used for MATH-1200 too, so you might want to check both shelves in the bookstore.) If you pay for it, you can also use MyMathLab integrated into the Moodle course:

this is optional.

I also have some lecture notes, hand-outs, links, and so forth. If you missed class, then you might be able to find a substitute here. But there is no guarantee that everything will show up!
