Detailed solution to Problem Set 10 Exercise 13

Question:
Find the differential of 3x/(x + 2).
Solutions:
d(3x/(x + 2)) = ((x + 2) d(3x) − 3x d(x + 2))/(x + 2)2 = ((x + 2)(3 dx) − 3x dx)/(x + 2)2 = 6 dx/(x + 2)2, which you can write as 6/(x + 2)2 dx or 6(x + 2)−2 dx if you want.
